Why Bemused Beagle

Hopefully I'm not the only one who gets puzzled by what some would find rather trival IT matters. This blogging site is to show you're not alone, as I document my experiences, mishaps (trust me there are plenty of them) and workings out doing various IT projects, conference writeups and hey maybe even teaching an old dog new tricks. Sadly I have not go a beagle (yet), so prepare to be already deeply sadden by the lack of beagle photos on this site.

Who is this Bemused Beagle

The name's Ash, a full time Partner Technical Lead at NetApp. I majored in Cyber Security Management at Bournemouth University, where during my studies I was Vice President of the university's Cyber Security Society (the closest thing to presidentency I will ever get!).

Having only graduated in 2019, I've already worked in various industries including the financial, energy and public sectors. As my degree suggests, I have a curiousity for security with experience in the Governance Risk & Compliance space. My recent attention has been to develop my knowledge around cloud storage technologies, because how can you truly secure something if you don't know the technology that you are securing? The ultimate goal, becoming a Cloud Security Professional, as who can admit to understanding the cloud, let alone trying to protect it!

I am a cocktail loving, tea drinking, walking wanderer through life, whilst trying to have that bit of fun. Hopefully you enjoy reading these blogs as much as I spent writing them and hey what a bonus if, like me, you learnt something new! :)
